Robertsdale Alabama

Went to Dauphin Island today it is 4mi out in the Gulf drove there a long bridge.
Saw Fort Gains, Estuarium, old ship wreck, Bird sanctuary(most of the left 2 days ago got cold for here 40 at night) and  all the island nice homes.
It is SW of Mobile you go under the city to cross it so saw both east and west sides

Robertsdale Alabama

Robertsdale Alabama

Robertsdale Alabama is 16 mi  west of Florida, 28mi  east of Mobile Alabama and 35 mi north of the Gulf. It is 85  wind 9mi low 55 will be here 13 days will add more as I explore

Montgomery, Alabama

On our day at Montgomery, went to the Capital



also was the first capital of the confederate states

Montgomery, Alabama

We are at Gunter Hill Campground it is a Army Corps of Engineers park
Went out to eat drove though cotton fields

Lots of walking trails it must be damp the trail are paved but green

Langston AL Mountain Lakes Resort

We are in northern  Alabama 28 mi south east of Huntsville AL and 185 mi south of Mammoth Cave
On the way we went though Nashville TN and stopped at Russell Cave NM 40 mi north of our camp.
Its fame is people have lived there for 2000 years continuous until they made it NM
Will be here 3 days so kayaking is on tap.
The forecast is for 80's no rain for a week.
The water is a lake on the Tennessee River
